New Condo Development on Singer Island

New Condo Development on Singer Island

Last week, the Riviera Beach City Planning and Zoning Board reviewed a plan for a proposed condo tower on Singer Island. According to a recent article from The Real Deal, the 259,800-square-foot, eight-story project would be located along the Intracoastal Waterway at 2525 and 2429 Lake Drive. If approved, the project known as Singer Island Gateway, would be the third new condominium development on Singer Island in recent years.

The proposed plans include 135 one- and two-bedroom units, an amenity deck that includes a pool, and a renovated 16-slip marina that would be available for public lease. The developer, Singer Island Gateway LLC, managed by Palm Beach resident and dentist Richard J. Lazzara, has teamed up with architect Torti Gallas and Partners on the project.

The current property was acquired out of foreclosure in 2013 and houses an old condo building that was damaged by hurricanes in 2004. The proposed plans will now proceed to the Community Redevelopment Agency and city council for approval. Similar new condo-developments in the area include VistaBlue Singer Island, which broke ground in late 2015, and Harbor Point, which is in pre-construction.
