Wynwood Mixed-Use Project to Include Hotel, Beauty School

A new mixed-use project is scheduled for the Wynwood neighborhood, and it will likely include 200,000 square feet of retail and office space, as well as a hotel and outdoor pool deck. According to a recent article from The Real Deal, Luxury Brand Partners (LBP) has teamed up with Moishe Mana on the project, which is located at 2337 Northwest Fifth Avenue. LBP will also move their corporate headquarters to the site, which will include a beauty school, as the company owns a variety of beauty related brands. The project is expected to open in mid-2017.
Architecture firm Berenblum Busch Architecture has designed the nine-story building, and the outdoor area that will not only be the lobby, but also a lounge, retail space, speakeasy, barber shop, restaurant and nail salon. BBA, which is based in Wynwood, considered the art appeal of the neighborhood when planning the main facade, which will include murals wrapping around the building. They are also responsible for the planned Puerto Rican Community Center and Chamber of Commerce nearby.
LBP owns several beauty brands, including Oribe hair care, R+O hair products, V76 grooming line, and Smith and Cult nail polishes, so the beauty school makes sense for the location. The academy will offer programs for hair stylists and business owners, and will include classrooms and auditoriums. The new headquarters for LBP will bring more than 300 employees to the neighborhood, along with more than 1,000 visitors from the hair and fashion industries on a daily basis. Gustavo Berenblum, BBA principal, stated that with all the added traffic, the project will help activate Fifth Avenue.
